Griffon Bruxellois"Lady Howe"

Ch Lalarookh Gem is the favourite of Hon. Lorna Countess Howe, ”Banchory”. “ Binkie the beloved”, as she is known to all her friends, is a red Petit Brabançon. This little bitch goes with Lady Howe wherever she goes.
The longest time she spent away from her mistress was seven hours. This happened when Binkie first came to live with her owner and became the favourite of all the dogs. Binkie is a great huntress, her record is three rabbits in one afternoon. This is quite a record for such a small dog. She has also been trained in obedience. Lady Howe likes to train her Griffons as well as her hunting dogs. She sees no reason why these little dogs shouldn’t be just as disciplined as the others, and have as good manners.
Lady Howe’s kennels were reduced due to the war but some examples of her favourite breeds are still to be seen. Even the Griffons are fewer in number, but she still has some good dogs. Two blacks, one a rough-haired and another Petit Brabançon, they are both under six pounds.
All her Griffons go outdoors in any time of year and it’s great fun to see them play with the black Labradors.
Banchory Prior, of Partridge Hill, is a great dog and is father of two pups by Banchory Pansy. He will soon be put to Banchory Gilda of Partridge Hill. He is a wonderful father and his son Banchory Monk is widely admired.
When the happy times of peace return we shall see these dogs come into their own once again.
